Qi Gong practice for the late summer and the element earth. This sequence is part of the Qi Gong for five elements. The earth practice is for your stomach and spleen. Pay special attention to your feet and knees, our foundation, being grateful for their support. The quality of our stance comes from our foundation. The alignment of your feet and knees will directly affect the quality of the energy flowing through your body. Connecting with the earth and our relationship with the earth is how we draw energy up. It is a relationship of receiving as well as giving. The names of each exercise: • Awakening your Chi • Compressing and expanding your Chi • Bring your center into balance • Circling the Sun • Playing the Lute • Connecting the sunlight with the earth • Freeing yourself of inner pressure • The Farmer Swings his whip • The Bowing Crane • Sorting the Harvest • Gathering your Chi Find a quiet place for you to do 25 minutes of chi gong, ideally barefoot for better connection with the earth. Do this as often as you wish. Centering yourself and gathering your energy. Think of everything your body needs for a good day and a good week. Warmth, Love, Energy, Positivism, Gratitude. Visualize and stroke it softly into your body.
